Why We’re Okay With Wrinkled Clothes (and Ironing)?

What “wrinkle-free” really means?

In children’s clothing, wrinkle-free performance is typically achieved in one of two ways:

1. Synthetic fibers (such as polyester blends) that resist creasing by nature.

2. Chemical finishing treatments, often resin-based, to prevent wrinkles in natural fibers.

Natural fabrics like cotton and linen wrinkle because they breathe. Ironing reshapes the fiber, without adding chemicals.

That’s why we choose GOTS-certified materials, where wrinkle-free chemical finishes are not permitted and dyes and processing meet strict safety standards.

Safety tips when ironing baby clothes

• Always wash garments before first wear

Iron on medium heat, suitable for cotton or linen

• Avoid starches or chemical sprays

Ensure clothes are fully cooled before dressing your baby

Ironing is a mechanical process, not a chemical one.

Wrinkles are not a flaw.

They’re a sign of fabric made gently, for children.
